Our Trust & Transparency Hub

Clear action today for a low carbon tomorrow

We believe that meaningful climate action begins with clear accountability and transparent progress

Let the countdown begin!

Actively cutting carbon emissions between now and January 2027

Our Plan

Carbon Reduction Commitments

Net Zero by 2050

We are committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, following the PPN 006 Technical Standard and reporting transparently on our progress each year

Zero Scope 1 & 2 Emissions

As a fully remote organisation with no buildings or company‑owned energy assets, we operate with zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions under government reporting guidance

Reducing Travel‑Related Emissions

With business travel representing 81% of our footprint, we reduce unnecessary travel, prioritise virtual collaboration, and favour lower‑impact transport modes wherever travel is essential

Supporting Low‑Carbon Home‑Working

We help our team adopt energy‑efficient home‑working practices and model home‑working emissions using SECR‑aligned methodologies to continually improve our environmental impact

Sustainability Training for Everyone

All colleagues complete compulsory annual sustainability training covering climate awareness, our Net Zero route, and practical everyday actions to reduce environmental impact

Future Environmental Projects

We plan to introduce additional initiatives such as nature‑restoration programmes, a Green Car Scheme, and ongoing behavioural improvements to further reduce our Scope 3 emissions

Current Carbon Reduction Projects

Cutting Travel, Cutting Carbon

Cutting Travel, Cutting Carbon

Reduced business travel during Q4 2025, adopting a more remote‑first working approach wherever appropriate. This change has lowered the frequency of higher‑emission journeys, particularly those previously undertaken on a routine basis

Growing Awareness, Reducing Impact

Growing Awareness, Reducing Impact

Introduced compulsory annual Sustainability training for all staff, covering climate change awareness, our route to Net Zero, managing environmental impact, and practical actions to improve sustainability in day‑to‑day work

Collaboration First, Emissions Down

Collaboration First, Emissions Down

Strengthened internal policies to prioritise virtual collaboration, reducing reliance on in‑person meetings and unnecessary travel

Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Emissions reduction targets

  • Net Zero commitment

Dataframe is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in accordance with the requirements of the PPN 006 Technical Standard.  Our baseline year is 2025, with total emissions of 5.03 tCO₂e calculated using recognised government environmental reporting methodologies and conversion factors. Progress will be measured against this baseline.

  • Five‑year target (to 2030)

We will reduce our total Scope 3 emissions by at least 15% by 2030 versus the 2025 baseline (target level: ≤4.28 tCO₂e). This target reflects our remote operating model and focuses on the main drivers of our footprint, business travel and home-working energy. We will review performance annually and update this plan in line with PPN 006 requirements.

  • Monitoring our journey to a lower carbon future
Carbon Reduction Graph Jan 2026-1
Emissions will be calculated using the UK Government greenhouse gas conversion factors and disclosed in line with SECR‑aligned methodologies. We will publish an annual update to this plan within six months of our financial year‑end, maintaining a consistent 12‑month reporting period.

How we will deliver the five‑year target

Travel demand reduction and mode shift

Prioritise virtual collaboration by default; when travel is essential, favour rail and other lower‑carbon modes and apply class and frequency controls for higher‑impact travel

Travel governance

Implement pre‑approval for discretionary trips and a simple carbon‑per‑trip check using current UK conversion factors to make lower‑carbon choices the default.

Efficient home-working

Share good‑practice guidance on energy‑efficient equipment and heating use, and continue to model home-working emissions using recognised SECR‑aligned methodology.

Supplier engagement

Prefer travel and logistics suppliers that provide transparent emissions data and align to government methodologies for reporting

Future Carbon Reduction Projects

Tree‑Planting & Nature Restoration Initiatives

We are exploring participation in voluntary tree‑planting and nature‑restoration schemes, including the option to fund the planting of one tree for every £1,000 of revenue or project value. These initiatives will be introduced to support wider environmental and biodiversity benefits. They will not be used to offset or reduce our reported emissions under PPN 006 and will sit alongside our core reduction activities

Green Car Scheme for Lower‑Emission Travel

We plan to introduce a Green Car Scheme designed to encourage the use of electric or low‑emission vehicles for business‑related travel. This initiative is intended to reduce emissions within Scope 3 Category 6 (Business Travel) by lowering the carbon intensity of unavoidable journeys and supporting a transition toward cleaner transport options

Ongoing Behavioural & Policy Improvements

We will continue to prioritise virtual collaboration wherever practical, review internal travel practices, and support employees in adopting low‑carbon working habits. These measures will be reviewed annually alongside our Carbon Reduction Plan and will contribute to future reductions against our baseline

Policy Review & Accessibility Statement

We regularly review and update our policies to keep them clear, relevant, and reflective of how we continuously improve the way we work. If you need any of our policies in an alternative or more accessible format, or would like further information, please contact us.
